Dimitri Likissas
Belgian, 1969
Dimitri Likissas (b. 1969) is a Belgian‑born artist of Greek heritage celebrated for his large‑scale, neo‑pointillist paintings that blend abstraction and figuration through thousands of meticulously placed colored dots. After beginning his career in graphic design and media publishing in the Caribbean, Likissas left corporate life to dedicate himself fully to painting. His signature dot‑compositions transform imagery into dynamic optical experiences—up close abstract, from a distance figurative—drawing on influences such as Keith Haring, Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol. Likissas’s work has been exhibited across Europe and the U.S., and is held in private collections internationally, establishing him as a leading figure in contemporary optical and pop‑inspired fine art.
