This cabinet features an East Indian Laurel case and pulls, beautifully paired with a holly front.
First introduced in the 1961 Nakashima catalogue, the Conoid line was inspired by the lyrical space of the Conoid Studio. This particular cabinet was a custom order for an important Philadelphia family. Nakashima's original Conoid cabinet was designed as a hi-fi cabinet and only offered in the 1961 catalogue. He customized it for this client, likely making it the only Conoid cabinet not made for hi-fi equipment. As a beautiful one-off, it's a true piece of design history.
