Description
Alvino Bagni Vase, Ceramic, Blue, Pink, Signed. Handsome vase with classic hourglass form and minimally decorated with three incised bands at the neck. The body is glazed in a rich ink blue over pink. The opening across the mouth is 4.75 inches. Stamped 'Italy' on underside with and marked Y. 288/F.290.

Alvino Bagni (1919-2000) was an elite ceramist and contemporary of Aldo Londi (Head Designer at Bitossi) and Guido Gambone. Bagni worked under Londi, in the early part of his career, before opening Bagni Ceramiche in 1956 in Lastra a Signa - Florence, Italy. Bagni Ceramiche was distributed worldwide until his retirement in 1992.
