“The Return of the Poacher” by Emile David
-
Description
A massive gilt and mahogany frame houses this wonderful original oil on canvas depiction of a hunter returning from the hunt, with his taken stag being carried on horseback. With a somewhat exhausted look, the hunted, the hunter, and his horse emerge from the wilds on their journey back to the homestead. The canvas has some signs of wear. This large scale work of art would make a huge impact over a mantle or hung prominently on the wall! Be sure to view the detailed images for a close look at the current condition of this antique.
