Found Collectibles is a furniture and décor gallery located in the heart of New York City's Garment District, at 255 West 36th Street, Suite 502. Our mission is to source and preserve collectible, timeless works, with a curatorial focus on Brazilian mid-century design; a movement celebrated for its elegant simplicity, organic materials, and masterful craftsmanship.
At the core of our gallery is a deep passion for the rich history of Brazilian design. This was a period of rapid cultural and artistic transformation, when architects and designers reimagined global modernism through a uniquely Brazilian lens. Icons like Joaquim Tenreiro, Sergio Rodrigues, and Oscar Neimeyer led the way, blending European modernist influences with indigenous craft traditions and native materials such as rosewood, caviuna, and leather to name a few. Their work was not only functional but profoundly elegant, these designs continue to inspire and elevate contemporary interiors.
Our collection includes over 1,200 Brazilian mid-century modern pieces from the 1940s through the 1970s. These range from celebrated masterpieces to rare works by under-recognized talents such as Pierre Weckx and Alexandre Rapoport. We also proudly feature pieces by unknown designers of the period—creators whose names may have been lost to time, but whose craftsmanship remains undeniable.
Every piece at Found Collectibles is sourced with the utmost care. We work exclusively with trusted partners across Brazil to ensure that each item has clear provenance and proper attribution. Our founder, Rodrigo Salem, personally sources every piece—treasure hunting across Brazil to uncover works that are both impeccably crafted and authentically mid-century.
Restoration is a cornerstone of our process. To preserve the original integrity of each piece, we collaborate with master artisans in both Brazil and New York City. Some of our Brazilian craftsmen were part of the very workshops that created these designs in the 1970s and ’80s. Their expertise allows us to restore each item with historical accuracy.
At Found Collectibles, we believe great design is not just seen—it’s felt. The furniture of this era carries a spirit of innovation, comfort, and artistry. These are pieces that tell stories, that were made to endure, and that continue to enrich homes and collections around the world.

Founding Owner
Rodrigo Salem, a former tech executive with 20 years of international business experience and a passionate collector for over 25 years, shifted career paths in 2022 and immersed himself in the world of Mid-century Brazilian Modern design as a gallery owner.
Coming from art collector parents, Rodrigo was exposed to the art world from a young age. This passion not only grew with time but was refined with his travels across more than 80 countries. Born in Peru, Rodrigo left home when he was 22 years old to pursue his career and dreams, living in Mexico City, Hong Kong, Miami, Rio de Janeiro, and New York City his home since 2014.
Rodrigo personally sources furniture from various locations across Brazil and oversees the restoration process to ensure that each piece is brought back to its original beauty. Once restored, these pieces are then shipped to Found Collectibles gallery in NYC.
