Rare Pair of French Mid-Century Modern Craftsman Wood Chairs, Pierre Jeanneret
-
Description
An Elegant Pair of French Mid-Century Modern Craftsman Side or Lounge Chairs in the style of Pierre Jeanneret. The chairs are an original, handmade creation from the 1960 - 1970 period in France. They possess a singular sense of form, line and composition that sets them apart from all others. Although Pierre Jeanneret's work may have been inspiration, these chairs are more dynamic and forward looking. The seats are delicately angled and the backs are angled and tapered providing a total aesthetic experience. The pieces rest on double scissors legs that face forward and add to the strong visual appearance. Very importantly, these chairs are functional and comfortable. Priced and sold by the pair.
