Description
Probably Connecticut or Rhode Island, ca. 1775-1795.
Over-all in great condition, customary wear to the original green painted surface.
Provenance: Halsey Munson Americana, Decatur, Illinois, 2001.

A paper label affixed to the bottom reads: From the Collection of John F. Street.
This sack-back Windsor has boldly developed carved knuckle-arms and a well- proportioned saddle seat supported by turned legs joined by turned stretchers. -
