Description
This rare set of dining chairs was produced in France in the late 1960s. The striking design is marked by the slightly curved backrest and and carved, rounded seat. The triangular backside of the chairs is a nod to the architectural roots of Brutalism and gives the chairs a visually attractive appearance from all angles. This particular brutalist style is characterful and sturdy, with the light oak wood adding to a more organic, unadorned feeling. The set is very well constructed with beautiful visible joint details. The set is in very good original condition, with a beautiful natural patina on the oak wood.
