IBÉRICA ROSA, elongated pendant light / elightended sculpture

The IBERICA ROSA pendant light is a point of union between sumptuousness and magic; a representation of an invented hieroglyphic language that traces lost connections with the sacred texts of extinct civilisations. Ibérica gathers a multitude of imaginary references to its geographical and cultural environment, readapting and projecting them from its own vision. A sculptural work with a ceremonial character.
The light has a tubular structure with extruded reliefs reminiscent of Andalusí cufic scripting, an icon of the city of Seville. The work, when pierced by light, projects a play of watery reverberations around it, creating a dreamlike, mystical atmosphere and an intense sensation of unreality.
There are two layers of epoxy resin applied by hand, the first one transparent and the second one with the colour that gives the piece a beautiful thickness of 1 cm.

The creative universe of Las Ánimas starts from and seeks to make the mind wander, as an altered vision of reality, created through a language of minimalist, geometric and iterative patterns; to develop an iconography of retro-futuristic, transgressive, ceremonial and deeply evocative aesthetics through experimentation with different materials, shapes and textures.
The pieces transmit a parallel, dreamlike world, full of visions; of references to art, history, religion and the memories underlying popular culture, as triggers of the levers of their own unconscious memory and also of the collective memory. An aesthetic universe where sumptuousness, mysticism and magic come together, pieces of ceremonial character, volumes and resounding colours, textures and materials of high sensory impact emerge.
