Lapis lazuli, malachite and silvered bronze étagère jewellery case table
Italian, 19th Century
Height 95cm, width 41cm, depth 29cm
The finest materials have been used to craft this superb antique étagère case table. Of a rectangular frame, the three-tiered furniture piece is intricately cast from silvered bronze. Lapis lazuli and malachite are a later addition and have been used for the jewellery case panelling and tabletops.
Stone inlay can be observed on the top tier surrounding the jewellery case. The front panel also includes a silvered bronze lock and key. The interior rim of the hinged top jewellery case is signed 'C. Roccheggiani Roma'.
