Description
A set of eight French Rococo style walnut dining room chairs from the 19th century, with carved and pierced splats, cabriole legs and newly upholstered seats. This exquisite set of eight French dining chairs features six sides and two arms. Each chair is adorned with a beautifully carved splat, pierced at the crest and in its center and accented with delicate foliage motifs. Each armchair showcases two open arms with out-scrolled knuckles resting on S-scroll supports. The seats have been recovered with a smooth single welt muslin. The chairs are raised on four elegant legs, the front ones being cabriole, decorated with stylized acanthus leaves on the knees. With their graceful Rococo style lines and lovely walnut patina, this set of eight 19th century dining chairs will bring a touch of elegance to any dining room. The dimensions of the set are as followed: the armchairs are 26" W x 20.5" D x 45" H (Seat height 18") while the side chairs are 20" W x 19" D x 40.5" H (Seat height: 18").
