Born in France during the 19th century, this exquisite jardinière features a black and light green ground, adorned with an exquisite high relief barbotine décor of pastel flowers accompanied with their leaves. The basket's upper section comprises a large handle accented with a twisted effect while the inside is decorated with delicate painted flowers. With its petite proportions and lovely barbotine décor, this French 19th century jardinière basket will bring a charming decorative touch to any home, perhaps placed above a buffet, chest-of-drawers or on a tabletop.
