A French Barbizon School framed oil on canvas painting from the early 20th century, depicting a pastoral farmyard scene and signed Theodore Linsyer. Born in France during the early years of the 20th century from the hand of Theodore Linsyer, this exquisite Barbizon School painting depicts a charming pastoral scene. A farm in the background stands out beautifully on a golden sky, a large tree marking the right side of the composition. A few chickens in the front are capturing the light while a couple of workers in the background are occupied with their respective tasks. With its plein-air technique and humble yet poetic subject, this French Barbizon School painting, signed TH. Linsyer lower right and set inside a carved giltwood frame, will bring a touch of elegance to any wall.
