Very beautiful library globe made by J.Forest Paris rue de Buci from the 19th century
globes on stands are the rarest. This one made by J. Forest, a famous publishing house in Paris in the 19th century, has a very beautiful turned base.
The Globe is plugged on a cast iron fixation which through an ingenious mechanism, allows you to turn the Globe in the direction you want.
The Globe is in French and in superb condition. no pock some small wear but really minimal The Globe stands out by its very beautiful colors and its condition. We can find the different colonies as well as the maritime currents.
The Globe has a horizon table where we can find the signs of the zodiac, months and seasons. This one has undergone some small restorations and is slightly curved. But still has it's paper. Very often gone
