Description
"From the 1950s onwards, Karasz displayed her embroidered works in numerous museums and galleries nationwide, holding over 60 individual exhibitions. In addition to her designing prowess, she penned the book ""Adventure In Stitches: A New Art of Embroidery"" in 1949. She further broadened her influence by working as a guest needlework editor for House Beautiful in 1952-53, thereby introducing the concept of artistic embroidery to a wider household audience.
Karasz, who passed away in 1960 in Danbury, Connecticut, is recognized for sparking a resurgence of needlework in America, infusing it with a fresh, creative approach. Her innovative contributions to the world of fashion and textiles have left an enduring imprint on the industry."
