Description
Angelo Mangiarotti was an influential Italian architect and designer known for his innovative work with Knoll. His designs often showcased a harmonious blend of form and function, with a focus on clean lines and architectural elements. Mangiarotti's pieces for Knoll are celebrated for their timeless appeal and high-quality craftsmanship, making them highly coveted among design enthusiasts and collectors alike. These rarely seen Murano glass mushroom vases share the design language Mangiarotti is known for while introducing delightfully bold colors.
Knoll issued these Mushroom vases in a variety of sizes and it is rare to see a set of 3 such as these. The Cobalt Blue, Fire Red, and Milk White combine together perfectly as do their differing heights, making them a pleasure to position. One vase retains the original “AL Murano” foil label signifying the producer which made these Magiarotti designs for Knoll. There is a hairline fissure on the blue vase shown in our photography which due to its color is quite subtle. This vase remains structurally sound and is not at all impaired by this defect. We have priced this set considering its condition, which is largely very good consistent with age and history. To have three brilliantly colored original Angelo Mangiarotti for Knoll Mushroom vases together in a set is a special opportunity. Together, they add a bit of sophisticated fun to any space.
