Description
Eero Saarinen’s design career, though tragically short, left an indelible mark on the worlds of furniture and architecture. His visionary work was far ahead of its time, driven by an intuitive understanding of both the human form and how people interact with design. Saarinen’s furniture designs often informed his architectural projects — and vice versa — resulting in creations that remain iconic to this day. Among them, the Saarinen Executive Chair stands out as one of his most enduring and instantly recognizable masterpieces.
The Saarinen Executive Armless Chair is perhaps the most versatile dining chair to emerge from the Mid-Century Modern movement. With sweeping curves that invite the user to sit and be cradled in comfort, it reflects Saarinen’s mastery of form and function. The signature opening in the back offers a gentle flex, enhancing both ergonomics and visual lightness. Every detail reinforces that this chair is, in essence, a Saarinen sculpture — beautiful from every angle.
We have several Saarinen Executive Armless Chairs available newly upholstered in 100% cotton velvet; Cognac piped with Créme. Our velvet is a top grade material suitable for heavy use, while still brilliant from all angles. The contrast upholstery is a handsome complement to their walnut legs. We carry all versions of Saarinen Executive Chairs in any quantity; Arm or Armless, Metal or Wood Leg, or Swivel Caster chairs as shown on this listing. Please feel free to inquire with us with any questions. -

Message from Seller:
Stories exist in many forms, we see them in objects. The aesthetic of those before us is passed down through their surviving creations. These are the objects we search for; to preserve, refine, & continue the story. Object Refinery combines design obsession, fine craftsmanship, and a love for history in our worldwide search for objects. Based in Connecticut, USA; we partner with a network of local artisans to restore and refine our findings before passing them on to the next collector.
