$ 3,600
  • Description
    Pair of large 1970s hand crafted bronze and brass brutal wall lamps by Belgian artist, Paul Moerenhout Two candelabra sockets , one upward and downward. Signed.

    Paul Moerenhout is a famous Belgian sculptor whose workshop was in Brussels between the 1960s and 1990s. He is best known for his decorative sculptures in gilded bronze. Each piece was unique, designed and made by the artist himself. He created furniture, lighting and objects, mostly of them in the naturalistic style: lotus flower lamps, sconces of tropical plants, wild fish sculptures with amethysts, Inca-inspired masks, bamboo dining tables, all in the modernist and brutalist style of the time.
