IBÉRICA AMBER, elongated pendant light / elightended sculpture

The IBÉRICA AMBER pendant light is a point of union between sumptuousness and magic, hand-molded by the Spanish artist couple LAS ÁNIMAS. A representation of an invented hieroglyphic language that traces lost connections with the sacred texts of extinct civilisations. Ibérica gathers a multitude of imaginary references to its geographical and cultural environment, readapting and projecting those from its own vision. A sculptural work with a ceremonial character.
The light fixture features a tubular structure with raised reliefs that evoke the intricate patterns of Andalusian cufic script, emblematic of Seville's heritage. When illuminated, the piece casts mesmerizing reflections, enveloping its surroundings in a shimmering dance of light and shadow. This interplay creates a surreal, almost mystical ambiance, captivating viewers with its ethereal beauty.
LAS ÁNIMAS founden in 2014, are Trini Salamanca and Pablo Párraga, an artist couple from Seville, Spain. The creative universe of Las Ánimas starts from and seeks to make the mind wander, as an altered vision of reality, created through a language of minimalist, geometric and iterative patterns; to develop an iconography of retro-futuristic, transgressive, ceremonial and deeply evocative aesthetics through experimentation with different materials, shapes and textures.
