Maison Baguès bronze bamboo wood marquetry side tables 1940s
-
Description
This unique pair of two-tier Maison Baguès side tables was created with solid bamboo shaped bronze and beautiful ebonized pearwood and marquetry tops in the late 1940s. The antique floral table tops marquetry, made out of stained maple, is a work of art. The bronze bamboo feet and pine cones, along with the antique shape inspired from the 19th century, are typical of the French neoclassical work of Maison Baguès in the 1940s and 1950s. These tables are highly decorative pieces, fully restored and varnished, with a beautiful bronze patina, and are found in an amazing condition.
