Description
The first screen depicts spring into summer landscape with flowering cherry tree. The second is autumn into winter landscape with snow covered bamboo, Camilla and Mount Fuji in the distance. Calligraphy reads: Chibe gun (is a region/canton), Eitoku Hogen (title of the artist) Seibunsai (AKA) and Fujiwara Takanobu (artist’s name) Signature and seal read: Fujiwara Takanobu. Mineral pigments and gofun on gold leaf. Measurements listed are for each screen.
