Description
This rare table lamp was produced in France in the 1950s. The rustic and elegant design is attributed to Charles Dudouyt. The different carved shapes of the wood illustrate the craftsmanship and originality of Dudouyt's production. The lamp is made of solid oakwood and consists of a circular base with four carved ring details. The striking hand carved stem with a three dimensional geometric diamond pattern. The tapered shade has been renewed in an ivory, linen textured fabric. The shade distributes a soft and pleasant light. The oak wood in very good original condition with an attractive natural patina. The wiring has been renewed and the lamp is fully functioning. Currently with a 220V European plug and a regular E26/E27 bulb fitting.
