Description
1950s Model #913/3522-55 Glass & Metal Ceiling Lamp By Wolfgang Tümpel for Doria. Executed completely in sculptural opaline glass. A highly functional pendant light of attractive scale and incomparable refinement, characteristic of the midcentury era. Unmarked.
Wolfgang Tümpel, a German Bauhaus designer, was originally a silversmith who only started designing lighting later in his life. His various collaborations with Nürnberg-based lighting manufacturer Doria Leuchten have made him an increasingly valued midcentury designer among discerning collectors.
Accommodates 1x 60W equivalent LED bulb (LED only). Professionally rewired for US electrical with custom fabricated period style canopy for mounting over a standard American j-box. Overall drop measures 27.5"; glass pendant measures 15" in height. Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee.
