Christian Krekels Coffee Table of oblong shape comprised of a resin top intricately inlaid with cross sections of mineral pyrite surmounted on an enameled black steel base, each leg with three stepped back supports. Signed on the top’s edge with a gold plague.
Krekels who was born in 1942 in Begium began his career as a sculptor. He studied at the Institute des Arts Saint-Luc in Torunai. When he graduated the Institute, he worked primarily as a diamond designer and then channeled his talents into sculpting both figurative and abstract sculptures and creating his distinctive tables.
