Description
Signed Art Deco Dinandrie Lamp Vase with Mica shade Signed Edition Jouvenia
Item #3576
Art Deco era, this exquisite 1920s lamp vase is a testament to the mastery of craftsmanship and design. Signed Edition Jouvenia, this piece transcends mere functionality, serving as an objet d’art that encompasses the design aesthetic and quality expected from this period. The lamp is a beautiful object and an original Art Deco design rendered with many stylized geometric motifs, diamonds, argyles, and swirls.
The detailed metalwork with the original patina adorns the vase’s surface, showcasing the quintessential Dinanderie technique of applying molten metal to create intricate patterns. It has been adapted as a useful table lamp with a slightly adjusting telescoping center metal tube. The vase is centered on a matching bronzed base which also mirrors the top as the piece is joined together.
Embodying a fusion of functionality and artistic expression, the mica shade casts a warm and inviting glow when illuminated. The lamp has a cloth cord and an on/off switch. Two original bulb sockets and a new mica shade have been added which compliments the patina of the vase as well as the style of the hexagon shade which is topped off with an original matching stepped finial.
