Bernard Cathelin “La fête mexicaine” Tapestry
Bernard Cathelin, a renowned artist, created a masterpiece titled “La fête mexicaine” (The Mexican Party) in the Atelier 3 in Paris.
While not strictly adhering to Post-Impressionism, Cathelin’s vibrant colors and emphasis on light evoke a connection to this movement. His artworks often captured a sense of poetry, celebrating the beauty of landscapes and scenes that resonated with him. They are characterized by rich and expressive use of color. Despite being surrounded by artists exploring abstract movements, Cathelin remained committed to a more representational style, setting him apart from some contemporaries. - More Information
