Offered for sale is an iconic Italian mid-century modern lighting design, the "Arco" floor lamp designed by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglione for Flos Italia in 1962. The Arco lamp i is a great Arc lamp, consisting of a counterweight in the form of a marble base. The aluminum lamp shade is connected by an adjustable steel rod that helps to position it above a desk or dining table.

What is unusual is that the Arco lamp was thought up to replace a pendant lamp above a table. The two-part shade allows for the movement of the outer part to cast light where it is preferred. The graceful Arch is made from a bent steel profile that spans up to 2 meters, the Carrara marble base works as a counterweight. The lamp is in overall very good vintage condition with few signs of use.
