Description
As functional as it is visually stunning this extraordinary stereo cabinet/bar is the epitome of 'functional art'. Constructed of a mix of solid and veneered walnut with exceptional old-growth woodgrains this credenza/bar is unlike any other we've ever seen. This stereo cabinet boasts exquisite woodwork such as the slatted speaker covers cut out of solid walnut tied in with intricate joinery as well as the sculpted solid walnut legs that reach out horizontally from the center point. There are two speaker cabinets on the flanks and 2 accordion-folding hinged doors that open and close with ease, this piece is as functional as it is aesthetically alluring. Though this piece does show some signs of wear, including minor scuffs, dings and scratches it's still absolutely breathtaking in it's size, overall condition and audacious architectural design. We have seen a few of the stereo cabinets before but we have never seen the matching Mccobb style hutch with pull down bar cabinet-so fabulous! The original Harmon/Kardon stereo is untested along with the speakers, also the inner shelves were removed to accommodate a modern flat screen TV. As shown this piece measures 76"t x 88"w 20"d. The credenza is 32"t x 88"l x 20"d and the top is 44"t x 47"w x 14"d.
