Threads Soft Goods is a curated collection of one-of-a-kind pillows lovingly handcrafted from vintage and antique textiles. These special fabrics have been collected over 30 years, and celebrate the native design sensibilities and traditional skills of artisans from all over the world. In essence, they are the threads that connect us to the past.
I’ve had the amazing opportunity to work with artisans around the world while designing home textiles and rugs. I’ve spent extensive time In India, and learned the arts of weaving, printing and embroidery.
I’ve also been going to flea markets, bazaars, antique shows, junk shops and thrift stores—first for Hope & Wilder, a beloved retail store in Soho, NY I co-founded in 1992, and, as time went on, purchasing vintage fabrics for my own pleasure.
The Threads Soft Goods collection is my chance to share my passion (and my fabrics!) in a way that combines all the experiences of my past and celebrates it in the present.
I hope it inspires you!
With love and kindness,
Eileen
“The real excitement about thread is not about a single strand. Rather, it’s about the joining of multiple threads into a harmonious, useful and beautiful whole.”
