    Attributed to Bröderna Eriksson, side table, Sweden, circa 1900
    Carved pine.
    27 1/2 in. (70 cm) high; 29 in. (74 cm) diameter

    This table has been attributed to Bröderna Eriksson on the basis of its similarity to their documented works in carved pine, also frequently displaying pine cone motifs. The Eriksson brothers were furniture makers based in Arvika, Sweden, and active at the turn of the century. Their furniture designs are examples of National Romanticism, a movement and style with particular impact in Scandinavian countries in the early 20th century, which took inspiration from English Arts & Crafts and European Art Nouveau while drawing from local folk art and craft traditions.
