Fabulous Austrian Rococo Classical 800 silver hunting and fishing centerpiece, ca 1900. Bellied oval bowl on stepped foot. Leafing scroll ornament; on front and back scroll and flower frames with coats of arms applied to spread and dynamic scallop shells. Shoulder has pierced diaper interspersed with cast flowers and scrolls. Asymmetrical scrolled rim. Cast figures of nonchalantly perched cherubs entangled in eel-infested net and holding upside down fox that grips with forepaws a chubby thigh.

Marked with Dianakopf (1872-1922) and maker’s stamp (Würbel & Czokally). Very good condition.
