Description
Roman born Marcello Piacentini (1881-1960) played a significant role of architecture and urban planning in Italy, particularly in Rome, Benghazi and Brescia - using a "simplified Neo-classic style. His furniture pieces are rare - this pair is from 1930s during the height of his career. Gorgeous walnut rootwood used for the classic chair framing with added Macassar ebony accents along the seat backs. Recently updated to the seat upholstery using a rich royal purple velvet.
