Description
Painted Pottery Figure of Male Courtier, Tang Dynasty. Well dressed in an open-collared long tunic, fastened at the waist with an elegant belt with trailing tassels. The figure stands in a thoughtful pose with left hand held to his chest and right hand holding an offering, details originally painted with orange and black pigment with traces remaining. Provenance: The Alan and Simone Hartman collection.
