Description
Pair of 1950s Giuseppe Ostuni Model #101 Black Articulating Sconces for O-Luce.
Executed in black painted perforated aluminum shade with brass hardware. Sconces pivot up/down and left/right on Ostuni's patented ball joint system. An incredibly clean and refined design by one of the Italian lighting icons of the modern age. Unmarked.
O-Luce was one of the most innovative lighting design companies in Italy during the midcentury era. Their designs have been long sought after by discerning collectors.

Each sconce accommodates 1x 60w max equivalent standard candelabra base (e12) LED bulb (LED only, not included). Professionally rewired for US electrical with new period-style backplate for mounting over standard US j-box. Retains original on/off switch at top of shade. Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee. Contact us to facilitate.
Some age appropriate scuffs, dings, nicks, patina, and wear as largely shown and noted only for accuracy. Please note that only one representative example of the lamps is featured in the listing images, but both lamps in similarly good condition and present well as a pair. -
