Description
This is a beautiful set of 6 matched champagne coupes. Each one has been professionally polished and the gold wash is without blemishes. They were handmade in sterling silver with a gold wash inside the cups. These coupes were designed by the silver maestro, William Spratling. Each one is signed on the bottom with Spratling’s mark. William Spratling’s unique blending of traditional Mexican Colonial and Pre-Columbian designs with modern forms have created a place for him amongst the Masters of 20th Century Modern Silver world wide. Numerous books have been written either by or about him and he was the subject of the film, “The Man From New Orleans”, in 1948.
