Story
Founded in 1947, Maison Jean Roger is known the world over for its exquisite, original ceramics. Its founder, Jean, was a visionary and daring ceramist: in the mid-fifties, he distinguished himself by creating original models that inspired famous collectors and designers, including Hans Knoll for his furniture, Jean Royère, and the houses of Jansen, Dior and Chanel. Jean Roger was soon joined by his son Jean-Jacques, who introduced trompe-l’oeil enameling, a lacquer technique applied to earthenware that became his signature. -
