Great Italian seascape painting from the first half of the 18th century. Oil on canvas artwork depicting a wonderful landscape with a stormy sea, of remarkable pictorial quality. Painting rich in minute details and a refined chromatic palette that contributes to giving the work a suspended, almost unreal atmosphere. The painting seems divided into two registers: on the left a wooded landscape with ruins while on the right we find a large galleon advancing on choppy waters. Painting already restored with relining, replacement of the frame and repainting of the color in various places. Overall in good state of conservation with some signs of restoration.
