Gothic Classical coin silver coffeepot. Made by Gorham in Providence, ca 1860. Tapering ovoid bowl with tall neck and spread foot. Cover hinged and flush with trefoil finial mounted to lobed dome. High-looping imbricated leaf handle with leaf cap and mount. Vertical strapwork-mounted spout with leaf cap and mounts. Beading. On neck, leafing scroll and flower frames with applied cast vertical leaves on stippled ground. On bowl, two strapwork frames with cattail surrounds; one vacant and the other engraved with script monogram. Marked “Coin” with maker’s stamp. Very good condition.
