18th-century Veneto Chest Of Drawers With Inlays

$ 5,950
  • Description
    This impressive walnut chest of drawers, dating to the late 18th or early 19th century, reflects the solidity and elegance characteristic of antique Venetian furniture. Crafted from rich walnut with a deep, warm patina, the piece features three large drawers adorned with finely detailed brass handles.

    A hidden coin drawer, subtly integrated beneath the top cornice, adds both historical intrigue and functionality, originally intended to store small valuables discreetly. The top is beautifully inlaid, while the sides are framed with carved moldings that emphasize the craftsmanship and architectural balance of the design. Raised on rounded feet and boasting generous proportions (W 142 cm x D 68 cm x H 99 cm), the chest is a substantial statement piece.

    Both refined and utilitarian, it embodies timeless Venetian taste, making it an ideal addition to traditional interiors or as a rich contrast in more contemporary settings.

    This is an antique and having been around for a long time, it will show signs of wear. Antique pieces have very much sought-after character and associated flaws. Please review photos for condition & contact us with questions!
