Olympian sterling silver tray. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1910. Round with reeded rim; cast shoulder with dense leafing scrollwork, cornucopias, vases, and masks. Deep well with acid-etched ornament: stylistically integrated monogram in central rondel radiating same.
A rare piece of hollowware in the historic Beaux-Arts pattern that was introduced on flatware at the Exposition Universelle in Paris in 1878.
Fully marked including maker’s stamp, pattern no. 5765, and director’s letter m. Very good condition.
