French 19th Century Mahogany Gueridon Bouillotte Table
-
Description
Dimensions: 27 ⅜” H x 25 ¾” W x 25 ¾” D
A French Louis XVI style mahogany side table from the 19th century with a white marble top surrounded by a pierced brass gallery and elevated by fluted legs. This timeless table design is a classic example of form & function, made for the popular French card game, bouillotte, but elegant and practical as a bedside table, end, or side table in nearly any room around the home. There are two small drawers tucked in the apron, with two small leaves wrapped in black leather that emerge to hold perhaps a drink or hand of playing cards. Fluted legs, a signature Louis XVI design, taper to the floor ending in small casters for mobility. Cleaned, tightened, and polished with a French paste wax, this antique occasional table is ready for your interior. Please view the detailed images. -
