Description
This exceptional set of six dining chairs exemplifies the harmonious fusion of mid-century modern design with European craftsmanship. The design of this set of dining chairs uses elements of geometry to create a unique look, while utilising the natural qualities of the wood in contrast to their highly stylised form.
This set offers plenty visually, with a striking construction and personality. Each chair incorporates subtle, yet stunning decorative elements on a base that mid-century designers liked to call “honest design”. The set’s aesthetic is defined by the ‘T’-shaped backrests and the uniquely carved legs. Each of these dining chairs are durable, sturdy, and functional, while the expert craftsmanship of their makers and use of high-quality wood make each one a beautiful design heirloom piece. The outwardly-splayed legs add to the chairs’ stability, and give them a slim, airy appearance, in line with the belief that good design should be accessible and functional for everyday use.
Sculptural furniture is a large umbrella term that includes many different design styles. What they all have in common is pushing the boundaries of what residential design should and could be. This set of six is sure to bring a 1960s flair to any space.
