Description
This pair of Art Deco armchairs by René Prou represents the designer’s refined, curvilinear aesthetic and elegant sense of proportion, paired here with dramatic black lacquered wood frames and vibrant yellow upholstery, feature open, gently rounded backs, with armrests that sweep seamlessly into the frame for a fluid silhouette that embodies Prou’s signature blend of grace and modernity.
René Prou (1889–1947) was a central figure in French Art Deco furniture design, celebrated for combining rounded forms, restrained ornamentation, and the use of luxurious materials. He designed both private residences and prestigious public interiors (including luxury train and ocean liner compartments), making his work a symbol of French modern elegance in the early 20th century. - More Information
