Description
Pair of French Art Deco chandeliers by Atelier Petitot, France, circa 1930, combining a sculptural chromed-metal frame with ribbed clear glass shades in a strong modernist composition. Each fixture features a central fluted glass column rising from an architectural body with horizontal glass panels and a domed lower element, producing beautifully layered, diffused light. The polished chrome finish and stepped geometric profile are characteristic of Petitot’s work with high-quality pressed glass in the early 1930s.
Founded in Paris in the late 19th century, Atelier Petitot became one of the leading French Art Deco lighting firms under Henri Petitot, renowned for combining nickel-plated bronze or chrome mounts with sophisticated molded glass to create luxury lighting for an international clientele. Their pieces are prized today for their precise proportions, meticulous metalwork, and the way they translate the Art Deco vocabulary into crisp, architectural lighting. Fully restored and rewired for use in the USA, this pair offers an exceptional opportunity to acquire authentic period Petitot fixtures for a refined entrance, dining room, or gallery setting. - More Information
