Description
A delicate Finnish mid-century ceiling lamp, model ER 5203/5 by Itsu, one of Finland’s foremost lighting manufacturers. The design features a central brass base with glass flower decorations and five brass arms with brass spring coils holding light bulbs with rattan shades. The lamp is stamped with the manufacturer’s mark, "Itsu," and remains in an overall good vintage condition.
Itsu was a distinguished lighting company and a subsidiary of Idman, playing a pivotal role in shaping Finnish design alongside firms like Taito Oy and Orno. Renowned for their high-quality craftsmanship, Itsu supplied lighting for significant projects, including collaborations with Alvar Aalto, such as the Aalto University. -
