Swedish Teak Nut Bowl & Spoon by Sowe Konst
-
Description
The enduring appeal of Scandinavian design continues to resonate, with both vintage and contemporary pieces captivating collectors worldwide. This teak nut bowl and spoon by Sowe Konst of Sovestad, Sweden exemplifies that sensibility. Known for their finely turned wooden vessels, the workshop achieved a level of craftsmanship so refined that the seam-line on this spherical form is nearly invisible.
Though originally conceived for serving nuts, the design’s versatility lends itself equally well to use as a salt or spice cellar. The survival of both bowl and spoon together makes this pairing especially rare and desirable.
Our team has carefully restored the set to the standards upheld across our collection. Each piece was gently stripped of surface wear and finished with a food-safe mineral oil, reviving the teak’s warm glow while preserving its intended utility. -

Stories exist in many forms, we see them in objects. The aesthetic of those before us is passed down through their surviving creations. These are the objects we search for; to preserve, refine, & continue the story. Object Refinery combines design obsession, fine craftsmanship, and a love for history in our worldwide search for objects. Based in Connecticut, USA; we partner with a network of local artisans to restore and refine our findings before passing them on to the next collector.
