Description
Unique Piece
"Manufactured by Atelier 3 in Paris, France"
The title itself, "The Invention of the Parenthesis," is intriguing. Parentheses in writing enclose additional information or thoughts, and in art, this could suggest a visual exploration of contained ideas, interruptions, or perhaps an enclosed world within the larger composition. The abstract, flowing forms against the deep blue background invite individual interpretation, characteristic of Alechinsky's symbolic and often subconscious-driven imagery.
