Description
A studwork leather fronted and oak domed travel chest or trunk, with the front decorated with birds and a basket of flowers flanked by two decorative roundels outlined in brass studs on a leather ground. The top with nicely patinated oak boards. Shaped to fit the back of a carriage. Original iron carrying handles. Later hinges and hinge board. English, circa 1720.
