Description
A pair of exceptionally refined modern ceiling lamps by the esteemed Finnish manufacturer, Itsu. Their design embraces elegant simplicity, featuring concentric metal circles that cast a soft, diffused glow from the spaces between them. This luminous effect creates a captivating play of light and shadow, characteristic of the best Scandinavian Modern design.
Drawing clear inspiration from Alvar Aalto's iconic A622 flush mount, this pair embodies a timeless minimalism. Their versatile and understated elegance makes them suitable for a range of settings—from enhancing the ambiance of a corridor or kitchen to bringing a touch of Mediterranean serenity to a covered terrace.
The lamps are in excellent original condition, each fully stamped by the manufacturer, affirming their provenance.
We currently have another pair of these lamps listed separately. Acquired together, they would form a striking set of four, ideal for creating a harmonious lighting scheme in a larger room or open-plan space.
Itsu was one of the leading forces in Finnish lighting design during the mid-20th century, responsible for producing some of Alvar Aalto's fixtures for several of his major architectural projects. Alongside legendary names like Taito Oy, Idman, and Orno, Itsu helped define the clean, functional, and poetic language of Finnish design that remains so sought-after today. -
