Description
Originally designed for Brasilia’s iconic Palácio Itamaraty, which houses the Ministry of External Relations of Brazil, the "Jimi" armchair is a testament of Brazil's history. With its square legs affixed to the off white velvet (arms, seat and backrest) the "Jimi" was based on Rodrigues 1958 "Gio" armchair which was selected by Italian architect Gio Ponti to be featured on the magazine Domus Italiana that year. This pair is quite special as it comes with chromed wheels which are in excellent condition. The Jimi archchair is featured in Sergio Rodrigues book as is shown on the last image.
